CBSE Boards 2022: Tips to Ace Maths and Science

The CBSE Term 2 Exam Dates 2022 for both Class 10 and 12 have been announced by the Central Board of Secondary Education. The exams will take place between April 26 and June 15, 2022.

Students should now focus their efforts on using the time left for revision with intelligent learning techniques. Do not just study for long periods while preparing for the exam. It could be exhausting, and you might not remember everything.

Learning Techniques

Instead, use the following technique to make your learning more effective:

Pomodoro Technique: Study for 25 minutes with complete focus, then take a 5-minute break. After the break, you can resume your studies. Do not, however, study for more than 10 hours per day.

Teach a concept to someone else using the Feynman Technique. You will be able to identify gaps in your learning while teaching. Return to the learning material and attempt to close the learning gaps.

Learning Aids: Make your learning aids such as mind maps, mnemonics, cheat sheets, and flow charts. This is especially beneficial when studying science and math chapters. Create your mnemonics, for example, to learn an equation or the order of something (e.g., a sequence of elements). To learn formulas, make a cheat sheet (a compilation of important formulas) and keep it somewhere you can see it and memorise it all the time.

Things to remember while studying Maths and Science for Board Exams

Panicking is not a good idea: The first piece of advice to students is to avoid panicking or losing their cool. Students must remain calm at all times to concentrate on their studies. We understand that Term 2 can be difficult given the results of Term 1, but one must face it head-on.

Solve Sample Papers: Many students believe that if a question appears in a sample paper, it will not be asked in the exam. You couldn’t be more mistaken. Many times, CBSE question papers contain the same questions as sample papers, except for a data change. So don’t forget to finish the papers.

Do not Re-read if you have Notes: Teachers and guides advise students not to read new chapters or all chapters for the first time now that the exams are only a month away. Students must read from their prepared notes rather than reading entire chapters. “Reading the entire chapter right now is a waste of time and demotivating.” Simply go through the questions behind your chapters to find and revise important parts of them. “If you missed reading or preparing a chapter, try not to be too concerned,” an expert advises.

It is all a matter of time to write correctly and quickly. As a result, one must try to write correct answers within the time limit. All students have 2 hours to complete their exams. They generally run out of time in Maths and Physics papers, so they must concentrate especially on them during their sample paper solving.

Eat and Sleep Well: You can only get good grades if your mind is at ease. You can only solve numerical problems if you get enough sleep. As a result, all students must get enough sleep and wake up early according to their Board exam schedule. Do not try to stay awake until after midnight to finish the syllabus. You may misalign your body clock.

The syllabus is the most important: With the exam only a month away, students must read nothing other than what is on their syllabus. Maintain a copy of your syllabus on hand at all times.

Don’t Worry About Term 1 Grades: You have term 2 exams in less than a month, so focus on that and motivate yourself to make up the marks you lost in term 1. Feeling bad or making a big deal about it will not help.

We hope that the tips and methods given in this blog will help students understand their exams and perform well on them. Best wishes for the CBSE Term 2 Class Exams 2022!
