Students studying in CBSE Class 10th must be facing immense pressure as the board exams are near. They must be confused as which topic to study first, what strategies to follow and many more like these.

So, to help them out here we have discussed some basic CBSE 10 Science preparation tips and strategies that must be followed by the students to get more than 90% marks in their board exams.

1. Refer NCERT Books

You should first study from the NCERT books properly. Specially the examples at the end of each chapter. Most of the questions are based on that only. After studying from NCERT books, you may refer other books as well. Books have already been mentioned above.

2. Make a proper time table

While preparing for CBSE Class 10 Science Exam you should make a proper time-table. You must follow your time-table every day so you can complete the syllabus on time and have enough time for the revision.

3. Prepare notes for Formulae/Chemical Equations/Diagrams

As formulae, chemical equations and diagrams are the backbone of Science so, you should make a separate notebook for these kind of stuff. Daily read those formulae & chemical reactions and practice diagrams. These CBSE Class 10 Science notes will help you revise for the exam quickly. This will also help you in your last minute preparation.

4. Give some time for the Revision

Daily give at least 15 mins to the revision of what you have studied the whole day. This will help you remember the stuff for longer time.

5. Learn all Formulae, Definitions & Elements

Most of the questions in Physics are formulae and theorem based. So, it’s better to learn all the formulae and theorems. Learn all the elements and their electronic configuration, placed in the first and last two groups of the Modern Periodical Table. You should also learn all the definitions by heart.

6. Be Careful with SI Units

Be careful with the SI Units as most of the students either forgot to mention them or writes them wrong. So, learn them too.

7. Practice all the Diagrams Properly

Practice all the diagrams including AC and DC generator, setting up of an electric circuit, Human Eye, Mirror Diagrams etc. Learn their labels and mention them properly. Also learn all the sign conventions and rules for drawing ray diagrams.

8. Learn all the Tough Terminologies

Learn all the tough terminologies, common names of salts, their chemical formula, preparation and uses. Learn only those which are mentioned in the syllabus.

9. Balance/Derive the Equations Correctly

This section does not require much time for the preparation but it requires speed and accuracy when it comes to balance the chemical equations. Learn how to balance the chemical equations. You should also learn to derive the equations of motion both mathematically and graphically.

So, these were the preparation tips that should be followed while preparing for the Science Exam.

All the best!
