IIT JEE Main: Most asked Physics Topics in recent years

The National Testing Agency will administer the JEE Main 2022 and 2023 exams beginning June 20. Candidates taking the Joint Entrance Exam Mains should have finished their syllabus by now. To get good marks in the exam, it is best to concentrate on the JEE Main Physics important topics and revise them regularly. Concepts and logic are important in physics. Students may encounter difficulties when attempting to answer physics conceptual questions. As it becomes increasingly difficult for aspirants to answer these types of questions, they tend to abandon the subject. As a result, you must understand the level of difficulty and weightage of various topics in physics.

We have tried listing the important topics of Physics based on the analysis of previous years’ question papers. However, one has to keep in mind that studying all the topics of the syllabus is important. Candidates can review the following physics topics for the JEE Main 2022 and 2023 exams:

●  Measurements

●  Kinematics

●  Gravitation

●  Law of Motion

●  Work, Energy, and Power

●  Rotational Motion

●  Properties of Solids and Liquids

●  Thermodynamics

●  Kinetic Theory of Gases

●  Oscillations and Waves

●  Electrostatics

●  Current Electricity

●  Magnetic Effects of Current and Magnetism

●  Electromagnetic Induction and Alternating Currents

●  Electromagnetic Waves

●  Optics

●  Dual Nature of Matter and Radiation

●  Atom and Nuclei

●  Electronic Devices

●  Communication System

●  Experimental Skills

The total number of Physics questions is 30. (20 MCQs and 10 numerical values). Five of the ten questions must have a numerical value. Candidates must ensure that they spend enough time practising numerical questions while studying Physics.

JEE Main 2022 and 2023 preparation tips for Physics

●  For Physics, go through the NCERT books. NCERT books cover all of the topics on the test schedule. To clear your details, finish the NCERT books first.

●  It is critical to have a clear understanding of the fundamental concepts.

●  Students studying for JEE Main should go over everything they have learned. Students must review two times per day for a total of two hours per day. If you are short on time, rewrite on different days. It is just as important to review, as it is to learn a new subject.

●  Solving JEE Mains previous year papers is extremely beneficial for physics because many questions have similar fundamentals as the previous year.

●  Candidates must prepare revision notes for formulas and key terms to go over them during the examination days.

●  Because the JEE Mains exam is the prerequisite for the JEE Advanced exam. Almost every candidate who enters the exam hopes to be among the top 2.5 lakh to qualify for JEE Advanced. To be among the top scorers, candidates must have an unrivalled preparation strategy.

●  Electrostatics: A high-scoring topic that requires concept clarification. Every year, nearly four questions are asked in the JEE Main exam.

●  Oscillation and Waves- Once the fundamental concepts are understood, read Concepts of Physics by H C Verma in depth.

●  Modern Physics: This is a scoring topic for both the JEE Main and JEE Advanced 2022 and 2023 exams. The key is to study and practice the numerical questions in this subject as well. NCERT is ideal for learning the fundamentals.

●  Optics: A relatively simple topic also happens to be a scoring one. Remember to check Huygen’s principles while studying this. You can do well because this topic is also simple.

The difficulty of the paper is determined by the student’s preparation; if students prepare properly with a strategy and plan, they will not find the paper difficult because they have thoroughly rehearsed and mastered each idea. As a result, unprepared students will find the paper challenging and impossible to complete.

Every year, lakhs of students prepare for the JEE Main exam to gain admission to a prestigious institution.

Physics is a difficult but rewarding subject, and students must prepare effectively to achieve good grades. Prepare thoroughly to improve your final score and pass this prestigious exam.

Best wishes for your future endeavours!
