Merry Christmas 2022: Life Lessons to Learn from Santa Claus

Christmas is all about Santa Claus, and we all know what a wonderful time it is. The holidays are just around the corner, and Santa has some smart advice that we should pay attention to. But Santa has a lot more to teach us when it comes to academics!

Ho Ho Ho!

It’s the signature laugh and the jingle bells that define him. Almost everyone knows who Santa Claus is.

Is Santa Claus real?  Where does he live?  Does he have a real name?

Though most of us know he is a legendary character, some of us still wish he were real. I don’t think it matters whether Santa exists or not. This is because believing in him is what makes Christmas magical! There are a number of lessons we can learn from the jolly Santa.

In terms of learning, let’s take a look at what lessons Santa can teach us.

  1. It’s All About Staying Consistent

Gifts are not given out based on good deeds near Christmas. Children who have been good throughout the year receive gifts from him. Perhaps it seems too demanding, but then again, you have to earn Santa’s gift, right? Likewise, good grades do not come from studying only when exams are approaching. The grades you have been striving for will finally be achieved if you study consistently all year long.

  1. Being The Best Version Of Ourselves

Despite some claiming that Santa is unfair to us by asking us to be good all year long; he simply reminds us that sharing kindness, compassion, and generosity leads to a happier existence. Also, karma or reciprocity teaches us that we get back what we give. When we share the best of ourselves with others, good is more likely to flow into and through us.

  1. One Should Set Goals

Are you aware of how Santa chooses his gifts? It is said that children from various parts of the world write to Santa about the gifts they want and the reasons they want them. It is very important to set goals in life, whether they are academic or outside of it. The same way we know which gift to ask Santa for, we should know which goals we want to achieve in life. To achieve our academic or life goals, we must be clear about what we want to accomplish.

  1. Hard Work Creates Magic

We believe in magic because of Santa. To make gifts for children, he works hard throughout the year. The process of making them does not begin just before Christmas. We can create magic in our lives if we work hard throughout the year, just like Santa does. By working hard, anything and everything is possible, from acing those boards to scoring 95+ to topping the class. To see the magic unfold in real life, you simply have to believe in yourself, work hard, and be patient!

  1. Work Together Learn Together

Santa is surrounded by friends who love and support him. Santa is not alone. Even Santa has the need for friends in order to make all those gifts and deliver them correctly. If Santa’s team can fulfill wishes for children around the world, how much more could you achieve together? If you don’t understand a concept during exam preparation or when you’re trying to understand a concept, you can work as a team with your classmates or friends. It is possible to study in groups and talk with your friends about concepts and doubts. By doing so, you will be able to grasp concepts more deeply. Also, later it will be easier to recall what you’ve learned during such group study sessions.

  1. Staying Positive Is Important

Santa’s greatest gift is his ability to laugh. Santa knows that laughter releases endorphins and promotes a sense of well-being and goodwill. Plus, his constant “ho, ho, ho!” helps decrease stress and keep him healthy and happy. Although his job may be as stressful as anyone’s, he still manages to laugh and keep a good attitude. According to Mark Twain, “Laughter is the most effective weapon humanity has”. Power, money, persuasion, supplication, persecution-these things can lift it for a while, push it a little, weaken it a little, but only laughter can blow it to rags and atoms at an explosive rate. Nothing can withstand the assault of laughter.

  1. Let Go of Excess Burden

Santa leaves the North Pole with a huge bag of gifts on his sleigh. By delivering those gifts around the world, he reduces his baggage one gift at a time. In academics, doubt is the excess baggage. You feel heavy when it comes to academics. You should get rid of these doubts one by one rather than carrying them around. Besides improving your grades, you will also gain more confidence in your knowledge and understanding of concepts. Santa delivers gifts no matter what time of the night it is. Neither should it prevent you from preparing for exams and asking questions.

With these 7 smart learnings from Santa, we wish you all a Merry Christmas! Do carry these key learnings with you always and make the most of the coming New Year!
