PRODUCTIVE

“Productivity is being able to do all things that you were never able to do before”, Franz Kafka, German novelist.

In the age of social media overload, how to stay productive? The good news is, millions of people are sailing in the same boat and the truth is that there are endless ideas and opinions to increase productivity. Checkout the below checklist to get you started.

Productivity is the basic building block of education

You must have listened to various people talking about being productive. But in reality, what productivity is? It is nothing but an attitude that one should have to maintain brain health. As already discussed above, it is required in every sphere of life but today we will be discussing a very important field: education. This blog includes tips to remain more productive at school and how to acquire such tips.

Following a simple task list effectively is far better than going for a pile of habits. The points are:

  1.     Maintain proper writing habits: This is a very serious problem for today’s youth. School students do not focus on developing their writing skills instead, they are more inclined towards verbal habits which are wrong. Bad or No writing habits can be lethal for exams as well as your productivity. Writing sentences not only makes your memory sharp but also helps in keeping a record of what you’ve studied in school so that you can revise it at times.
  2.     Keep a record of your daily to-do list: Every day, you have got so much to deal with except studies. Due to this excessive load gets built on your brain. Our brain can tolerate such loads but on the other hand, productivity levels get reduced because of such pressures. So, what is the solution for the same? We can’t avoid any single task from our schedule but we can go for a to-do list. This list helps us to gain discipline which is a primary step towards efficient productivity.
  3.     Mind maps: Mind maps are a very significant way to learn concepts. Your thinking can get well organized with proper usage of mind maps. Not only proper organization, but it also helps to make you more systematic and save lots of your time for other important tasks. Using mind maps a connection gets established between your ideas which boosts your productivity.

  1.     Revise: Revise as many times as possible. Instead of watching birds or playfield outside the window in free time at your school, one must focus on the revision of the topics that they have learned on a particular day. Revision not only makes you ready for the exam but also plays an important role to discover new methods to answer questions which ultimately, comes under the category of productivity.
  2.     Proper sleeping habits: Don’t get confused. We are not telling you to sleep during school hours. Instead, you must try to sleep at least eight hours a day to remain fresh throughout the day which ultimately, results in productivity. If in case eight hours sleep is not possible then you must go for short naps but not in between of your school lectures. Short naps are always good for instant freshness but they should be practised only if you have not completed your proper sleep.
  3.     Exercise and fresh air: Regular exercise results in spiritedness. Moreover, inhaling fresh air means more oxygen in the body and aerobic exercises provide greater blood flow to the brain which helps in enhancing memory. Good memory always helps towards great productivity as a student will never forget what’s taught in the class and hence, they will be able to connect concepts constructively.
  4.     Do not become a bookworm: Students who only focus on studies i.e., those who are not involved in any extracurricular activities or sports, always lack productivity. Every student should develop at least one hobby related to any sport, music etc. Such hobbies can make your mind relaxed for a while so that you can go for a fresh start again. You see, whenever a student goes for any other activity apart from studies in school, they return with an absolute enthusiasm which is very much needed for studies as well as for better productivity. So, parents, as well as teachers, should also keep this particular thing in mind and instead of forcing them every time for studies, they should also encourage their children for extracurricular activities.
  5.     Last but not the least, being a student, you must always take care of your friend circle. As it is rightly said, “Sit with winners, their conversation is different”.

Key Takeaways

Productivity does not come in a day or two. It requires utmost dedication and continuous efforts. Schools are the first step towards your education and hence you must try to be productive at this level only by keeping a note of all the tips stated above.
