CBSE CLASS 7: AN OVERVIEW

CBSE Class 7 is packed with knowledge and information that influences the rest of the high school career of a student. It comprises several important topics that teach students to be independent in their academics as well as lays the foundation for language, art, science and maths. Grade 7 builds a bridge between elementary education and the higher/secondary education of a student.

Children are exposed to new and relatively practical concepts which are applied to real life. It also helps build the fundamentals that will help students in their academic future.

CBSE CLASS 7 MATHS SYLLABUS 

The CBSE course structure is designed in a manner to ensure that students do not go through a lot of pressure, moreover, books are made interactive and interesting for students to enjoy their studies. A lot of fun activities are included in between the chapters to help students learn playfully. It makes the process of conveying knowledge to the students efficient and healthy. 

Chapter 1 – Integers

In this chapter, starting with the basic introduction to integers, all the basic operations are performed using integers. This chapter is one of the easiest and important chapters in the syllabus. The sub-chapters are:

  • Introduction of Integers

A Brief introduction about positive numbers, negative numbers, and zero followed by a few exercises.

  • Properties of Addition and Subtraction of Integers

Axioms of addition and subtraction of integers are discussed here with solved examples.

  • Multiplication of Integers

Axioms of multiplication of integers are explained here with a few solved examples.

In this chapter, All the basic arithmetic operations are performed on fractions and decimals. With suitable pictorial representations and examples, these concepts can be easily understood. The sub-chapters are:

The given below are the different types of related angles :

  • Two Special Triangles: Equilateral and Isosceles

These two triangles are discussed with some solved examples

  • Sum of the Lengths of Two Sides of A Triangle
