English is one of the compulsory language papers. Candidates are allowed to choose their sixth subject in the ISC Class 12 exam. The subjects that can be selected as 6th subject are Biology, Math, Economics, Sanskrit, Hindi etc.
The ISC Class 12 exam is conducted somewhere in February-March by the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) for all affiliated schools.
Marks scored in ISC Class 12 plays a critical role in the academic career of any student as it helps them to get shortlisted in good and reputed colleges and universities.

The minimum mark required to pass in ISC Class 12 board exam is 40% in each subject. The aggregate marks shall also be 40% or above. The marks will be calculated by adding practical and internal scores.
