Chapter 3: Linear Equations-

In Class 10 Chapter 3, an equation of the form Ax+ By +C= 0 is called a linear equation in two variables x and y where A, B, and C are real numbers. When two linear equations are in the same two variables, they are called a pair of linear equations in two variables.

Chapter 4: Quadratic Equations in One Variable-

The standard form of a quadratic equation is ax2+bx+c=0, where a, b and c are real numbers and “a” is not equal to 0. In this form, it is easy to see that “a” is the coefficient of x2 and is known as the quadratic coefficient. Whereas “b” is the coefficient of x and it is known as the linear coefficient. “C” is constant.
