## Chapter 3: Linear Equations-

In Class 10 Chapter 3, an equation of the form Ax+ By +C= 0 is called a linear equation in two variables x and y where A, B, and C are real numbers. When two linear equations are in the same two variables, they are called a pair of linear equations in two variables.

## Chapter 4: Quadratic Equations in One Variable-

The standard form of a quadratic equation is ax2+bx+c=0, where a, b and c are real numbers and “a” is not equal to 0. In this form, it is easy to see that “a” is the coefficient of x2 and is known as the quadratic coefficient. Whereas “b” is the coefficient of x and it is known as the linear coefficient. “C” is constant.

## Chapter 5: Ratio and Proportion-

ICSE 10th Maths is impossible without having proper knowledge about this chapter. A ratio is an ordered pair of numbers x and y, written x / y where y is not equal to 0. A proportion is an equation that has two ratios set equal to each other.

## Chapter 6: Factorization-

If you are planning to sit for JEE in the future, then you should master yourself in Factorisation. While doing factorization, we reduce any algebraic or quadratic equation into its simpler form, where the equations are represented as the product of factors. The factors of any particular equation can be an integer, a single variable, or an algebraic expression itself.

## Chapter 7: Matrices-

In Matrix, a set of numbers arranged in rows and columns so as to form a rectangular assembling. The numbers are called the elements of the matrix. Matrices have wide application in engineering, economics, physics, and statistics as well as in other branches of maths.
