ICSE Class 8

The ICSE (Indian Council of Secondary Education) Programme is offered by the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations, established in 1958.

In the  ICSE syllabus a lot of focus is kept on actual application of concepts learnt, whereas CBSE focuses a lot more on learning and recall of theoretical concepts. While most of the chapters are the same as CBSE, ICSE syllabus has a lot more intensity and a very deep dive in  each chapter.  The ICSE class 8 syllabus prepares a student well , by making a very good foundation for the extensive syllabus and difficult concepts of higher classes. Application of knowledge and the development of analytical skills form integral parts of the programme

Class VIII serves as a preparatory year for the ICSE Programme in Classes IX and X. Students study English as the First Language, French or Hindi as the Second Language, and Mathematics, History, Civics and Geography, Science (Physics, Chemistry and Biology), Environmental Science and Computer Studies as core subjects.
